Licking with Love

Most anyone who knows me knows that I have a special love for dogs. I love dog energy. I even offer a service with my friend that we call "Mobile Reiki 4 Dogs". It is reiki delivered to dogs in the comfort of their own home. Dogs are great teachers of mine. I co-care two beautiful dogs with my mother. One is an angel(the one with the bow) and the other is a beloved lil she-devil. Along with my love for dogs, I also love poetry. Inspired by my two best friends, I wrote this poem.

"A Good Lickin'"

A dog's licks are Love,
In one lick,
Infinite,
Non-verbal communication.
Hardly ever is it,
Just one lick.
It's one lick,
Two lick,
Three lick more,
And more and more!
It's how it is,
With them dogs.
We work for them,
We feed them,
Exercise them,
Discipline them,
And love them...
Among other things.
We work for licks.
Though, it doesn't feel like work.
In fact,
Many of us,
Would work for them,
For free!
For Nothin',
No licks at all.
But if licks were paper money?
We'd be rich.
Maybe even a little greedy,
"Lick meee! Lick me moore!"
Paper money aside,
Licks of a dog,
Definitely
Make us rich,
Boy do they ever pay off!
Don't they?
